Way back when before plastics were so common, people played bowls with real wooden balls – hence they are called ‘woods’! The wood was Lignum Vitae – the ‘tree of life’ – very hard and perfect for the purpose.
Turned into lamps, they look gorgeous, and the polished wood really shines. Each has different details of course, so as usual call to see what we have, or take pot luck – we would never bother converting a grotty one so you can be sure it will look great.
Take standard lampshades (not supplied), and SES bulbs (supplied). Fitted with 1.5 metre flex and in-line switch.
